A Moment to Reflect

BLUE CROP TOP (On Sale!):  Morning Lavender // WHITE MIDI SKIRT: Morning Lavender

This summer has been an interesting one for me. Lots of love and laughs, but also lots of sadness and moments of overcoming life's hardest obstacles. I think it's so important to reflect at the end of each season, review the moments that have had a part in shaping who we are becoming. Whether it's been a season of great joy and happiness or a season of sorrow and loss, both have great impact on our lives and perspectives and therefore should be remembered to pull joy from or pull wisdom and growth from.

I've kept a journal since I was in the 6th grade. Not only are they fantastic reads as you get older, they really show tangible proof of the person you were and the person you're becoming. It's so neat to be able to read through journals from many different seasons and see how God has been there with me every step of the way. Through my very dramatic 6th grade math test worries, to heartbreak in relationships and family loss, God has been my Great Comforter through it all.

Regardless of your faith or stance on religion, I think personal reflection is key to becoming more beautiful on the inside. I encourage all of you to keep a journal, honestly you won't regret it. Journal your fears, concerns, joys, moments of incredible love and moments of exciting success. Write it all down and savor the moments. Learn from the moments. Allow those moments to challenge you to be better, live better, and love better as you grow up.

God has really been revealing so much to me about love and how to love people in a selfless way. That's my focus this fall, how to love family, friends, strangers better. I want to be remembered by my love for people, all people. I will go more into this later on this month, just wanted to share what has been on my heart this past week. Love you guys!

Crochet White Romper

WHITE ROMPER: Forever 21 // STONE NECKLACE (sold out): Studio 1220 // BRACELET: Forever 21 // TAN BOOTIES: Sole Society // SUN HAT (similar): Forever 21 // WATCH: Michael Kors //

If you haven't noticed, I'm on a bit of a white kick these days. I guess I'm just trying to get in as many white outfits before Labor Day gets here ;-) I love the back of this romper, seriously so pretty and delicate. I couldn't find the short sleeve version online, but I did find the long sleeve version here! I paired this look with my fav Sole Society booties and a few touches of gold jewelry.

I'm pretty over this crazy sun scorching heat, and therefore over summer... I'm sure I will miss it as soon as fall officially arrives. Then again, FALL IS ABOUT TO ARRIVE!! Boots, scarfs, tweed jackets, ugh, I can't wait!

I hope you have a fabulous Tuesday! Thanks for stopping by!

Weekend Whites

WHITE AND ORANGE TUNIC: Target // WHITE ZIPPER LEGGINGS: (on sale!) Hue from Nordstrom // GOLD CUFF: Forever 21 // GOLD WATCH: Michael Kors // SUNNIES: Target //

Loving this all white look, I mean, Ive got to get it out before Labor Day... right? These Hue leggings are amazingggg, I call them my fat pants ;) I have them in black and white and they are seriously like a glorified yoga pant that you can totally wear to work or class. They have a cute zipper on the bottom of the leg and they even have back pockets! Oh and they are on sale right now, I think for 30% off or something. Unfortunately I couldn't find the exact match on the white embroidered top from Target, I looked EVERYWHERE online, if anyone finds the link let me know!

One thing I want to point out is that Forever 21 online is the greatest place to find cheap accessories. Trying to buy in store can be a little overwhelming, but online they have really great photos of their items and they have SO much more to pick from. Plus, shopping online means you don't have to put pants on ;)

Thanks for stopping by lovelies! Happy Hump Day!

Outfit No. 187

WHITE DRESS: Morning Lavender // SUN HAT: Nordstrom // CHEVRON NECKLACE: Forever 21 //

Today is post number 187. Thats crazy to me! I have been blogging for a little over two years now and it has been quite the ride! I feel like so much has changed about me on this little blogging journey of mine. I hoped that I would be able to identify my style with one word, maybe two, by now... but nope. I dabble in so many styles, I mean, I just love them all, its so hard to pick just one! I guess my word would be eclectic: deriving ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources.

In todays look I am still strutting it on the beach. Maybe Im overdoing the beach dress vibe but hey, Im going to hang on to summer for as long as I can! And also, its been like a trillion degrees here in San Diego so I can't even bear to think about fall clothing yet, let alone shoot in fall outfits. I promise, by mid-Sept I will lay off the summer wear... maybe ;-)

How fun is this dress though?! I bet you can guess where its from! My recent fav pop up shop online, Morning Lavender. Check out their other sun/beach dresses here!

Summer Lovin'

WHITE DRESS: Morning Lavender // TOTE: Nordstrom // WIDE BRIM SUN HAT: ASOS // SUNGLASSES: Nordstrom

I had so much fun shooting this dress in Newport with Morning Lavender. The ocean was literally so blue, this wasn't enhanced at all. Its days like these that make me feel so lucky to live on the coast! Morning Lavender has become my jam for sun dresses and rompers this summer... they are all so so cute! You can shop their dresses here or this specific one here!

Here's to another great weekend!
