The best go-to travel wear: yoga pants (my fav brands are lulu and zella!), boots, t shirt, and a light sweater and scarf!

Right off the plane I was greeted with a 45 minute line for a taxi...in 10 degree weather! Quite the shock for this little San Diego lady!

My first stop was at the Camuto Group show room where they design and manufacture the shoe lines for brands like Tory Burch, BCBG, Vince Camuto, Jessica Simpson, etc! I was greeted with champagne and chocolates AND was blessed with an adorable gift of Vince Camuto wedges! So fun to be invited to see behind the scenes of their show room prep for Fashion Week!

On my first day in the city I got straight to work! I made my way into several different hipster coffee shops and at the end of the day settled into Starbucks for the nifty wifi ;-) Jacket: j crew. Scarf: nordstrom. 

The next morning we had quite the brunching experience! And it SNOWED! I hadn't been in snow for years, so it was super fun to walk through a white central park! And stop for an impromptu snowball fight...

 

This is my beautiful best friend Savannah who I am so so proud of! We grew up together in San Diego and now she works for NBC in New York! So fun being able to stay with her and her roommate for the week I was there...

(Yes, this ACTUALLY happened! Way to go Paige for capturing such an awesome mid air shot ;-)

Of course, it wouldn't be a work trip without some interior design accessory shopping!

We finished the snowy night off with another fabulous evening of dinner and dancing in the city with lovely friends!

I am absolutely in love with these wide-legged ombré pants! Seriously... they literally feel like pajama pants and yet they are VERY flattering. Tip: wear these pants with a high platform heel or wedge and you will have Victoria Secret legs for daayyyys ;-) The ombré coloring adds length too; overall, they are fantastic comfy bohemian pants and a great staple for summer! So I really never go into Express, that is unless I am looking for work skirts, and in that case I might make a pit stop (they have fantastic work skirts;)). Honestly, its hit or miss to find really cute stuff there, but the other day I walked by and their 40% off sign was sparkling in the window and I just couldn't resist. I found THE CUTEST DRESS EVER! And it was stinking 40% off... AND STILL IS! I really don't know why but they are still hosting their 40% off sale... storewide! The dress is super preppy and perfect for Valentine's day! The black and white stripes are perfect for spring, they give the dress such a feminine and classy Jackie-O flare!

Ok so because I am currently obsessed with j crew bracelets, Im going to let you in on a little j crew secret: don't buy their jewelry unless its on sale! They have a super quick turn over on jewelry and in 3-4 weeks it will usually be 25-40% off. I usually check the "sale" tab on their site OR I will go to the j crew factory site. If you don't know about j crew factory you are missin out! Watch out when you visit these sites, you are going to literally want to buy everything! Last but not least, do those shoes look familiar to you? Do the red soles bring a certain brand name to mind? Well they aren't the real deal. Get excited ladies... soon I will do a tutorial on how to turn your budget conscious pumps into red-soled Louboutin stilettos!

So... these leggings from Zara are so amazing... in fact, all of their leggings right now are to die for, mainly because a lot of them are made out of leather, which I am obsessed with! Earlier this week I had such a blast shooting the Spring 2014 catalogue for an adorable clothing company, can't wait to show you guys some of their stuff, super cute! These past 2 weeks have been so busy with work and I have been TERRIBLE at keeping up with blogging. I promise I will get my act together soon!
