A Moment to Reflect

BLUE CROP TOP (On Sale!):  Morning Lavender // WHITE MIDI SKIRT: Morning Lavender

This summer has been an interesting one for me. Lots of love and laughs, but also lots of sadness and moments of overcoming life's hardest obstacles. I think it's so important to reflect at the end of each season, review the moments that have had a part in shaping who we are becoming. Whether it's been a season of great joy and happiness or a season of sorrow and loss, both have great impact on our lives and perspectives and therefore should be remembered to pull joy from or pull wisdom and growth from.

I've kept a journal since I was in the 6th grade. Not only are they fantastic reads as you get older, they really show tangible proof of the person you were and the person you're becoming. It's so neat to be able to read through journals from many different seasons and see how God has been there with me every step of the way. Through my very dramatic 6th grade math test worries, to heartbreak in relationships and family loss, God has been my Great Comforter through it all.

Regardless of your faith or stance on religion, I think personal reflection is key to becoming more beautiful on the inside. I encourage all of you to keep a journal, honestly you won't regret it. Journal your fears, concerns, joys, moments of incredible love and moments of exciting success. Write it all down and savor the moments. Learn from the moments. Allow those moments to challenge you to be better, live better, and love better as you grow up.

God has really been revealing so much to me about love and how to love people in a selfless way. That's my focus this fall, how to love family, friends, strangers better. I want to be remembered by my love for people, all people. I will go more into this later on this month, just wanted to share what has been on my heart this past week. Love you guys!
